I don't know if you realized it or not, but for you old timers and new timers, CompuServe Forums – the original nation-wide/international, live message boards/social networking sites (not to bypass BBS systems and the packets that moved overnight between them) – are still alive and well. That is right. For 25 years, I have been involved in two of them – one I originally opened with Georgia Griffith : the Religion Forum and The Christian Fellowship Forum.
Since Georgia died a few years ago, I have held the contract for these.
They are moderated communities where people can come together and freely discuss ideas as long as they agree to respect each other and live by the rules.
You are invited. You will have to join AOL to participate, but it is free.
We have a couple of Hot Topics at the moment.
In the Christian Fellowship Forum: Should Duck Dynasty Walk Away?
Would you like to weigh in on the controversy? Remember to respect each other as you disagree.
In the Religion Forum: Is Christmas Religious or Cultural?
Reuters & Pew Research say 1/2 of Americans see it as mostly religious holiday. Your opinion?
