From Psalm 81:7a:
"In your distress you called and I rescued you,
I answered you out of a thundercloud;" (NIV)
I like the NKJV on this as well:
"You called in trouble, and I delivered you;
I answered you in the secret place of thunder;"
The secret place of thunder ….
The Message puts it this way: " I answered you from where the thunder hides …"
No matter how I read it, it grabs me.
I have stood under thunder clouds in wonder.
I have shuddered at them in the distance.
I have also heard the Voice in times of distress.
I have been startled and staggered by them
And comforted …. comforted … comforted.
