Sometimes, it seems that  God does not answer, but read further in Psalm 22, past the desperation and dejection.

As you read, be reminded that Jesus embraced this psalm in his incarnational and reconciling presence on the cross.

He redeems and reconciles as he embodies the emotions of abandonment among other emotions in his own death.

The reality of faith emerges from the deep wells of abandonment.

God has not despised or abhorred your affliction and never shall.
