How majestic
“LORD, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. “– Psalm 8:1

Creation gets in our face over the matter of the excellent majesty and power of God. Sometimes it simply takes our breath away in its function of inspiring awe among the people of God.

” When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? “– Psalm 8:3-4

Have you ever had the experience of feeling frightfully small against the backdrop of glory? You visit a great canyon or step into a mighty ocean and are overwhelmed with your own smallness in view of the greater manifestation of divine power.

“For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. “– Psalm 8:5

We have been made low and crowned high. It is a mystery that can only be explained when framed in the unconditional, covenant love of God for undeserving humanity. The merciful love of God elevates us and causes us to behold His majesty in a whole new light.

We have been given dominion over and the power to enjoy all that God has made.

More important, we have been equipped with the capacity to see God in it all.

“O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!”
