Every observation I make is tentative.
It must be.
I, myself, am tentative.
Even when I speak of eternal truth, of which I am convinced, I must be humbly and reverently tentative because I look through a glass darkly.
That all being said, I am bothered by those, with whom I share a common conviction of truth, when they use deceit to highlight that truth.
Deceit discredits the truth that lies behind the lies and the truth-tellers who speak with integrity.
I am also perturbed by those who pounce upon the offense to try and prove that everyone with that point of view is also deceitful.
Both extremes are dishonest.
