“Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.” – Psalm 108:2.
It is time for a great awakening.
All of nature conspires with the God of nature to be your alarm clock.
Every new day and every fresh season sound forth the alarm.
All cry, “Wake up!”
Wake up your body.
Wake up your soul.
Every new day and every fresh season is a time of awakening and renewal. It is new and you are being made new.
Wake up!
Wake up your body and activate the energy that is within you to live. You are fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wake up your soul. It is your life. It is the wholeness of your being. It is too easy to disengage, but when we fully engage, we fully live.
Wake up the instruments God has placed in your hands, the tools He has given you to bring forth praise. You alone can play these unique gifts as a symphony of worship before Him, but they must be awakened by you! What is your particular psaltery? What is your unique harp?
Wake up your childlike heart and seek Him in the wonder of His mystery and the beauty of His holiness.
Wake up your eyes to behold his glories. He is beautiful and what He has made reflects His beauty.
Awaken your ears to hear the music of the spheres and join your voice with the eternal chorus that sings, “Holy, Holy, Holy.”
Awaken your mind to the opportunities of the day. This day is like no other. It is the day that He, the LORD, has made. Rejoice! Be glad. Embrace the possibilities! Live your purpose.
God is at work in this day and in you. He has called you to live. It is far too easy to sleep through the morning, the afternoon, and the evening. It is easy, but it would be a tragic waste of a wonderful day and an amazing life … your life!
Wake up!
