    If you refer to this arrogant, amoral self-indulgent President… well, first of all, he is no king. But my prayer is that he be humbled and changed, broken and healed, aware and compassionate.
    Let’s not make him more than he is, an old, sick and troubled man.

    You might have noticed that my first line stated that the voter is the king of the realm.
    I had no one in mind when I initially wrote the reflections on the psalm 7 years ago, certainly not the current POTUS.
    However, while the psalmist is probably referring to a more sympathetic character about whom he has m affinity, there are certain transferable principles that might be applied to prayer for any person in a power function.
    Yet, I felt compelled to add the rather obvious statement that the voter is king. That is the way our system is structured and recent history proves that the function is not vested with infallibility.
