I told Jesus that I was having difficulty loving my enemies.

Jesus asked me why.

I said that I was having a hard time figuring out who my enemy might be. As far as I could tell, I had no enemies but myself.

"Exactly," Jesus seemed to whisper in my ear, "Then let my love flow over you and love your enemy as your neighbor and your neighbor as yourself … since he is you."

The rest came very easily.
