The Plain Paths and Perfect Passages

Psalm 27:11 – “Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.”
Consider how you have come to where you are in life. Reflect on your path and the bridges you have crossed on the way to today.
Contrary to newsworthy topics of recent years, there are no “bridges to nowhere.” Every road leads somewhere. Every path and passage has a point of completion and all of the events of our lives have meaning.
Everything leads to somewhere and, from there, on to multiple places and consequences.
Such is the power of choice in our lives whether we refer to good choices or poor choices. We need guidance and leadership. God provides a bridge at every crossroads. We must often seek it, turn over some leaves, or remove some brush, but it will be there. We seek it by seeking Him.
In John 10:7, we hear Jesus say, “ Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.”
A door, like a bridge or a path, takes us from where we are to where we are going.
The plain paths and perfect passages of our lives are only plain and perfect because, when we see Him with clarity, everything else is simplified and when we experience Him, everything else comes to perfect rest. We are not perfect in this and we often muddle through in confusion, but God works in spite of our lack of clarity and insight to lead us along.
Looking back, you did not always know how God was leading you or that He was leading you. Yet, as you desired and sought that guidance, He provided. In hindsight, you can see some of those answers to prayer – not all of them, but many of them.
Ask Him and He will teach you and lead you.
