Sometimes people don’t argue… they sing their anger.
The question isn’t whether anger exists—
it’s what we do with it.
I’m curious:
👉 When you encounter anger (online or in person), do you tend to listen first… or push back?
And what’s shaped that instinct in you?

Let Them Come – An Example for Us
“But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.” – Mark 10:14
Let them come. Let the children come.
Allow no hindrances to keep them away.
Do not discourage or disperse them.
Never let them feel unwelcome or unimportant.
The disciples had been trying to protect Jesus from the children. They would not be dissuaded. They kept coming.
Jesus noticed that they were being turned away and he was very displeased.
That is a bit of an understatement, The full force of the word gets lost in the translation. He was indignant. Dr. Bill Mounce says the word means, “to be pained; to be angry, vexed, indignant; to manifest indignation.”
He was pretty upset about the whole thing and made a grand declaration. Don’t stop the kids from coming to me. Let them come. They are the core of my program. They are at the heart of my movement. What they are is what my kingdom is about.
God’s kingdom is comprised of God’s children. Our relationship with God is that we become part of the family.
We are dependent upon God; we learn from God; we receive God’s love; we are favored by God; God dotes on us and enjoys our playfulness.
This is one of the biblical scenes I want to see on some sort of holographic playback when I get to Heaven: Jesus hanging out with the kids. I want to see the expression on his face, hear the children’s giggles, and enjoy the moment with him.
I am so glad he welcomed them because it reminds me that I bring no more self-importance, credentials, sophistication, or credit to the kingdom than they do. He welcomes them and he welcomes me. It is a joyful realization.
Sometimes people don’t argue… they sing their anger.
This video introduces a deeper reflection on one of the most powerful—and misunderstood—human emotions: anger.
As part of the Voices Heard series, The Language of Emotion, we explore how what we feel becomes what we say—and how learning to express emotion clearly can lead to understanding, connection, and even healing.
