On the Shore — John 21:1–14

They fished all night… and caught nothing.
Sound familiar?

You’ve given your best effort to something—
and nothing came of it.

No results.
No return.
No traction.

How does that feel?

Then Jesus appears.

Not in the boat.
Not in the struggle.

On the shore.

And He is already preparing breakfast.

You can almost experience it:

The smell of the fire.
The sound of it crackling.
The quiet invitation in the morning air.

And then His words:

“Try the other side of the boat.”
“Come and have breakfast.”

Sometimes we don’t recognize Him right away.

But He is there.

Already there.

Preparing.
Hosting.
Calling.
Sending.

He’s there—
calling,
providing,
inviting us deeper.

A Few Questions for the Shoreline

What are you fishing for?

Where are you fishing?

What discouragements are you carrying right now—
in life, ministry, family, or business?

What if, at His command, you tried the other side of the boat—
even if it seems irrational?

What might change?

And what difference might it make
if you paused for a moment,
came to the shore,
and simply had breakfast with Jesus?
