Lord, Have Mercy!

I pray this often.

Sometimes it is when I am lifting weights. It seems a little heavy. I stop, breath, and pray.

Then I do it, drawing from that which is beyond myself.

My physical exercise becomes a metaphor for the greater exercise of my life and the weights I lift daily.
